No. We add AI steps inside your existing Zaps using Zapier's Code or Webhooks steps, or by inserting an AI middleware endpoint that your Zap calls. Your current automations keep running.
Which AI models do you use inside Zapier?
We typically use OpenAI GPT-4o or Anthropic Claude via API, called from a Zapier Webhooks step or a lightweight serverless function. The model choice depends on your latency and cost requirements.
Can Zapier handle the volume we need?
Zapier has task limits per plan. For high-volume workflows (10k+ tasks/month), we often recommend migrating the AI-heavy steps to n8n or a custom endpoint while keeping Zapier for the simpler triggers.
